02 Dec 16. Today's close up is of a cone flower growing in a local nursery. Nothing special about it, just a single bloom from a single plant. It was taken in mid August roughly about the time these plants are really strutting their stuff. I made several different versions of this one all designed to show off the beautiful red-orange color. This one I've made to look like one of the masters, so even though it is a normal straight shot like I usually provide on Fridays, I hoping it won't be too disappointing.
I've cropped the original, removed a couple of distracting leaf stems in the background and converted it using the Topaz filter Impression 2. Nikon D300s; 18 - 200; Aperture Priority; ISO 200; 1/640 sec @ f / 6.3.
