Leaving for a photo shoot when all that is lighting the sky is the moon and Venus, and returning to a similar condition, allows for capturing all phases of the light provided for the given day. We departed in the total darkness but, by the time we had reached Everett, WA, the sun was beginning to make its appearance known. The view from inside the vehicle was one in which we longed for a different road where capturing that wonderful hour of light would be possible, but both the trees lining the freeway and the highway traffic was making that well nigh impossible. But just outside Everette,WA, there is a downhill portion of I-5 that has a sufficiently wide shoulder allowing for one to safely pull off as well as an unobstructed view of the valley and Cascades in the distance. So I pulled over, behind another vehicle as it turned out, and took a few shots of the sunrise unfolding before us. The view I'm sharing today lasted for barely 2 minutes before it was drastically changed, which will be the image for tomorrow. ISO 320; 1/200 sec @ f / 6.3
