06 Oct 11. I had planned to move on from the Issaquah Dairy images today to a different theme but a late email from a list member lead me to decide to share just one more. One of the fun things about sharing these images with you is that I frequently get very interesting replies back which are often a learning experience for me and for which I am most appreciative. In quotes is the comment that made me change my mind and switch to the image I'm sharing. I haven't asked permission for the quote but I'm fairly confident the writer won't mind: "Dave: A bit of history- Many years ago the Darigold plant in Issaquah was "Alpine Dairy". I milked a lot of cows in my high school years and was involved in sending thousands of gallons of milk to the Alpine Dairy. Alpine dairy was owned by a man with Swiss background named Hans Forester who was convicted of income tax evasion and sent to prison. Soon after it became "Darigold"." Now just what are the chances of something like this happening. :-D So, since we are talking about a dairy, what could be more appropriate than an image of a cow, only this cow has been artistically altered to look a bit sinister; perhaps she, or one like her, was the reason for the nefarious behavior of the former Alpine Dairy owner.
